Robert Catterton, a lifelong resident of Davidsonville, MD, died at his home on Thursday, November 9, 2017. He was 72.
Known to everyone as Bob, he was born on May 18, 1945, in Cheverly, MD to the late Lawrence and Dorothy Catterton. Bob worked as a Tobacco Farmer and as an Oil Delivery driver for several companies. He enjoyed building small replicate barns and dollhouses for his children and grandchildren. Bob also enjoyed doing larger building projects, such as constructing a porch and garage.
He especially loved spending time with his family. Bob was preceded in death by three siblings, David, Patty, and Joan Catterton.He is survived by his wife, Erma Catterton, whom he married on June 5, 1965; two children, Bonnie Whetzel and her husband Kevin of Davidsonville, MD and Robert B. Catterton and his wife Kim of Davidsonville, MD; two siblings, Donald Catterton and Norma Lee White; a sister-in-law, Janice Catterton; and a brother-in-law, Paul White. Bob is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Logan Catterton and Miranda Whetzel.
Friends may call at George P. Kalas Funeral Home, 2973 Solomons Island Road, Edgewater, MD on Monday, November 13 from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm, where a funeral service will be offered on Tuesday, November 14 at 11 am. Interment Lakemont Memorial Gardens, Davidsonville, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hwy., Pasadena, MD 21122 or , 7500 Greenway Center Dr., Ste. 300, Greenbelt, MD 20770.
